The Bronx is Crazy!

Where do I begin!!!
The Bronx is crazy!! The people here are nice but there are a selected few that are just plain rude and careless

Last Pday we went to a hibachi place that was like a Asian buffet and man was it good. I had like 7 plate full food cause I haven't been eating cause me and my companion just work and and find people to come to church and set up a following lesson too. So we haven't been able to like make food or have time to get food. My companion loves to just get going and work. And I'm like elder I jeed to eat or just relax. But my companion is a good person getting to know him a bit more. But still has his flaws haha like we all do
This past week has been a struggle. When I first got my mission call and read that I was going to New York City, I was shocked
. I was excited but I was also prepared for what I was going to see cause if you know New York City and like the Bronx, Brooklyn, Ect its crazy here. I saw an incident happen in front of my eyes and man it literally unlocked a lot of emotions for me that I didn't even know was in me. My anxiety has been a struggle and hasn't gotten any better. Haven't had decent sleep but still working hard tk bring others to Christ and to church. But man it can be exhausting pushing your emotions aside and focusing on God's work. Cause if you know me I'm the person where I put everyone else's needs before my own. And let me tell you it is not healthy

I enjoy the people here in the bronx tho and I love the ward and the people. Love the Missionaries here (well some) just hoping and praying that I can overcome this challenge and continue to do the Lords work.

Love the Missionaries here (well some) just hoping and praying that I can overcome this challenge and continue to do the Lords work. Besides my mental health things have been good with the missionary work. Been reaching our goals on Finding and having people coke to church. We have this super chill and nice guy named Jesus (no seriously that's his name but pronounced differently) and he has been coming to church here and there. He was found 2-3 months ago. But when I ran into him on the street and asked him to come to church he said that he's definitely coming which was amazing to hear. Later tho I found out that he's not reliable and that kinda broke my heart. But when he talked to me on sunday and said that he wants to get baptized, I was super pleased and excited. I was all for it. My companion tho was a little skeptical at first but when we sat down all together and with the ward missionary we made a plan on how to help him. I did talk to him and gave him the encouragement he needed but also gave him reality. But he was all for it and was determined to reach his goal of getting baptized. He's gonna take a while but I have faith and hope that he will get baptized, maybe not by me but by some other missionaries who also have the faith and hope to help him.
I also have been able to connect with the people in the ward and have some good conversation with them which is what they needed. These moments in my mission has been able to help keep pushing and going even tho throughout the day I just want to go home or move to a different mission. At first I was not sure what my purpose of being here in NYC was, but looking back, even now, I am getting a glimpse of it. Heavenly Father knows who we are, cause he created us and loves us dearly. We may not know why we are where we are at the moment but we are here for a reason and you may not know it until like 30+ years later
. But I know that God's sent me on a mission for a reason. I still ask him everyday on why he sent me here but there must be a reason. But I still want to go home

Anyways keep me in your prayers, and hopefully we can be able to control this anxiety and whatever this is I'm going through. Love you guys!!! Love it when you guys email me back. It's a highlight of my day when j read them. Also I promise I'll get in some photos hahaha
Sincerely Elder Valde,
