Fasting

Hello everybody,

This week has been a pretty good week, had a baptism on January 5th. His name was Wendell he was super excited, he talks a lot though LOL. We had to do it three times cuz the first two he did it fully submerge underwater, but the third time was completely perfect and he came out really happy and with the big smile on his face. It was very honorable to be able to baptize Wendell and to see him make his first Covenant with God.

This Mission has been really well the missionary wise perspective but the mental health of it has been hard but after fast Sunday, I have been a little bit better. The background of this is that I wanted to go home. I felt like I didn't know what my purpose was as a missionary. My mental health has been horrible since the MTC. But I had amazing friends and a companion at the MTC who was the greatest. But coming on the mission field it wasn't like that. The sister missionaries are super sweet but the elders have been not as supportive as I thought they were going to be. The culture of the Bronx is to support others and baptize weekly. The baptized weekly has been there but the supporting has not and that has been hard for me cuz I felt like I didn't belong. I knew that I was new, but I hope people were able to help me in a way that I needed. But before I go into this whole rant I have decided to stay for one more transfer and to see if it will get better. After lots of praying and fasting I have to decided to stay. If you want to know the whole story talk to my parents LOL.

Anyways it was a good p-day talked to my parents which was really great heard some great advice and everything. But the other days were pretty good we hit our goals in finding, member present lessons, Sacrament attendance, Church confirms, Etc. And if you know what these are good if you don't know I don't really know how to explain it LOL. But yeah it's a short email but there are more emails to come.

My spiritual thought today though, comes from The Book of Mormon chapters 1 through 4. It's when Lehi and his family leave for the wilderness but need to go back to get the brass plates. But what I've learned from these four chapters is to follow God's Commandments because he has a purpose and he has a plan for you. You just got to keep going and you got to trust him. He may not give us these hard times but he will give us the tools we need to go through them and overcome them.

Lobe you all and can't belive it's almost been one transfer.
