Transfer Week

Cant believe that it's almost transfers!!!

I have been in the Bronx for 6 weeks now and on a mission for 2 months!!! That is flippin insane!!! It has been a very hard 6 weeks but I managed to survive it. There is so much I want to tell you guys.

Miracles

There have been so many miracles this past week. Me and my companion have been able to keep up the good work and achieve our goal that we have made throughout the week. This Sunday we brought 9/8 of our recent converts to church, and 4 of our friends that are progressing. 2 of these friends are preparing for baptisms this week and next week. Richard is an old guy and has had a lot of trials in his life but, it has been an amazing experience to help him become closer to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. He is preparing to get baptized this Sunday, we just gotta keep hyping him up and calling him because he forgets what day it is and when to leave lol. Marlene is the 2nd one who is preparing for her baptism for the 26th of January. We are hoping she can get baptized this coming Sunday, but we are letting her pray and asking God if that is his will. We know that she is ready, she has been super cool throughout our lessons and she has so much knowledge. We also don't want to rush her and force her, because they are God's children, not numbers. They are all super cool people.

I want to go Home!!!

Man let me tell you these past 6 weeks i have been on the mission field i have had the desire to go home and not even go through. It has been super hard and super stressful!! I have been having a mental breakdown for days on end. I have had meetings with the President like 3 times cause it has been hard. But last Sunday he asked me to pray and fast about going home or staying for another Transfer. My first thought was “President, I want to just go home” but I agreed and man, that was the best decision I have made. At the end of the day I prayed and poured my heart out to God and asked him what are the options for me. Should I leave and go home or should I stay? After praying and thinking I decided to stay. The next day was PDAY and I talked to my parents about my decision and asked them for guidance as well, and we both came to the agreement to stay and see how the next transfer goes. Hopefully I can go to a different area and start fresh again haha. It was nice to receive that revelation that I need to stay and give it another chance. Still, I wanted to go home, but when it came to Sunday again we had a Mission Devotional, and at this one we heard three testimonies from missionaries who are heading home this transfer. Man were they amazing testimonies, but it made me visualize myself giving one of these at the end of my mission. Then my desire to stay grew stronger and I finally said it to myself and my companion “I'm going to Stay for the next 2 years”. So I am going to push through these next 2 years!!! Let's go!!!

Medical Emergency

Man there have been a lot of medical things that I have had to do. This past week I have had to pop someone's knee back in, I had to pop a missionary's finger back into place. And I had bandaged a lot of the missionaries because they cut themselves a lot.

Anyways, this week has been a rollercoaster but it was good. But there are gonna be more emails to come. But all I want to say is that God has a plan for all of his children. Just know that God has a special plan for all his children. And they are good things. We just gotta have faith in God and in his plan for us. He loves us.
